C# Constructors: [Private Constructor] Reference from Microsoft
®
A constructor is a method that is invoked upon instantiation of a class.
Constructors can NOT have return types defined.
A private constructor is an instance constructor. It's commonly used in classes that contain static members only.
public class myClass { // a constructor method has the same name as that of the class containing it // no return type specified for constructors private myClass() { // private constructors PREVENT classes from being instantiated - only use private constructors with classes that only provide static members } }
